This website was created as a central point for anyone who is currently playing the piano or wanting to learn how to play the piano for Praise and Worship at your church or for your group. We provide piano lessons via Skype or iChat so an audio/video connection can be created, allowing both the instructor and student to see each other playing the piano.Level of student:

Hyman Stansky grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, where he began piano lessons at age nine. At age 16, he made a visit to Nashville to observe a day of recording and began dreaming of the day when he would own his own recording studio. He began playing the piano for his family trio, made up of his Father and two brothers, then played for soloist and college choirs at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee from 1976 to 1978. In the fall of 1978, he began traveling full time with a nine-person contemporary Christian group, The Sharrett Brothers, throughout the United States and Canada, playing piano and synths. In 1982, after four years on the road, he moved to Texas and began a business career selling music equipment to domestic and international distributors. Both at church and in business, his life has revolved around Christian music. He has been playing Praise and Worship music for over 25 years and clearly understands how to play the piano for worship services with or without a band.Hyman completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from DeVry Institute of Technology, Irving, Texas, and shortly after graduating, began work at SABRE, as a database administrator. Even though he was working in the hi-tech industry, he knew ultimately that music was still something he would pursue full time.
In Jan of 2001, he began building a world class recording studio, Harbor House Studios, in Keller, Texas. Hyman has played the piano for Dennis Jernigan, Sandi Patti, Larnelle Harris, Damarus Carbaugh, Whintley Phipps and others.
Hyman currently plays the piano at Bethesda Community Church, located in Fort Worth, Texas, for Praise and Worship and the 100 voice choir, under the direction of J.Daniel Smith.
As sole owner of Harbor House Studios, a world-class recording facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Hyman produces and arranges music for studio clients. Students who are minors require a parent or guardian's presence at video lessons. This can be accommodated by setting up another seat nearby, getting a second pair of headphones, and getting a simple and inexpensive headphone splitter which can attach both sets of headphones to your computer's audio output.
Scheduling:
After we have talked to schedule a lesson time, we will place a Skype or iChat call 5 minutes before the lesson and will try 3 times to connect with you. If you are not available your lesson will be forfeited and not made up, as this time would have been blocked out for you.Music that will be taught:

Cost: $60.00/hr
Lessons are paid via paypal prior to the lesson. If you prefer to pay by check, payment is due 7 days prior to the lesson. After the first lesson is taught, lessons are prepaid in increments of 4. Click on this Paypal button to get started.
